DETECTIVE MAFIA: Official Game Guide

A real-time party game of deduction, strategy, and deception (4–15 players). Remember: "Every table has a traitor."

⚔️ GAME MODES: HARDCORE VS MODDED

💀 Hardcore Mode Pure classic deduction setup. Includes ONLY:
• 🔪 Killer
• 👼 Angel's Grace (Doctor)
• 🛡️ Civilians
(No Detective, no special roles!)

🎭 Modded Mode Unlocks special roles & neutral chaos:
• 🔍 Detective · 👮 Police
• ⚖️ Mayor · 📜 Lawyer
• 🔀 Swapper · 💥 Anarchist
• 🃏 Jester · 🐺 Werewolf

⚙️ GAME FLOW & PHASES

🌙 Night Phase (30s): City sleeps. Killers pick victims, Angel's Grace protects a player, Detectives (Modded Only) interrogate suspects, and Werewolves (Blood Moon 20%) hunt. When 100% of active night roles submit actions, a 5-second countdown resolves night results automatically!
☀️ Day Discussion & Voting: Morning reveals casualties or saves. Discuss in real-time chat & built-in Voice Chat 🎙️. Voting timer minimum is 90s to ensure thorough deliberation!
🗳️ Anonymous Vote Tally (5s): When 100% of living voters cast ballots, a 5-second countdown screen unseals the execution verdict.
👻 Spectating & Ghost Intel: Eliminated players watch live with full confidential Ghost Intel (showing all assigned roles & secret feeds), but cannot vote.

🔪 Killer KILLER TEAM Hardcore & Modded
Select 1 victim to eliminate each night.
🏆 How to Win: Equal or outnumber living Civilians (e.g. 2 Killers vs 2 Civilians).

👼 Angel's Grace (Doctor) CIVILIAN TEAM Hardcore & Modded
Shield 1 player each night from elimination (cannot self-save 2 nights in a row).
🏆 How to Win: Eliminate all Killers and Werewolves.

🛡️ Civilian CIVILIAN TEAM Hardcore & Modded
No night action. Use logic and discussion during day phase to vote out traitors.
🏆 How to Win: Eliminate all Killers and Werewolves.

🔍 Detective CIVILIAN TEAM Modded Only
Perform 2-step interrogation each night (active role + suspect) for a real-time True/False verdict.
🏆 How to Win: Eliminate all Killers and Werewolves.

👮 Police CIVILIAN TEAM Modded Only
Once per game during Day Discussion, perform a Public Confrontation. If suspect is Killer/Werewolf they die; if innocent, Police dies!

⚖️ Mayor CIVILIAN TEAM Modded Only
Day vote counts as 2 votes. Once per game, issue Executive Order to execute a suspect instantly.
🏆 How to Win: Eliminate all Killers and Werewolves.

📜 Lawyer KILLER TEAM Modded Only
Bound to the lead Killer. If lead Killer falls, Lawyer dies with them.
🏆 How to Win: Killers outnumber living Civilians.

🔀 Swapper CIVILIAN TEAM Modded Only
Twice per game, swap final vote tallies between 2 players before execution.
🏆 How to Win: Eliminate all Killers and Werewolves.

💥 Anarchist Ability KILLER ABILITY Modded Killer Ability
Assigned to 1 Killer per match. Once per game during Day Voting, detonate smoke bomb to cancel voting!
🏆 How to Win: Killers outnumber living Civilians.

🃏 Jester NEUTRAL SOLO Modded Neutral
Act suspicious and cause chaos.
🏆 How to Win: Get voted out by the town during Day Voting to win INSTANTLY!

🐺 Werewolf NEUTRAL SOLO Modded Neutral Solo
On Blood Moon nights (20% chance per night), hunt independently with double-kill rampage!
🏆 How to Win: Outlast both Killers and Civilians to claim solo victory!

🔑 4. Secret Town Word Mechanic

How to Use the Secret Word for Tactical Advantage:
1️⃣ Lobby Submission: Before starting, players can type a secret custom word (e.g., PIZZA, BICYCLE, COFFEE) into the lobby input box and click "Save 🔑".
2️⃣ Town Reveal vs Imposter Unknown: All Town Faction players see the selected Secret Town Word displayed at the top of their screen during match play. Killers & Imposters see: 🔑 SECRET TOWN WORD: "UNKNOWN"!
3️⃣ Day Phase Deduction: Town players use subtle hints or code phrases during day voice & text chat to prove they know the word without saying it outright. Killers must listen closely to guess the word and blend in without blowing their cover!
